Jackaroo privacy · Effective 24 October 2026

Jackaroo
privacy policy.

This policy explains what information the game Jackaroo (جاكارو; Android package and iOS bundle ID com.dhrivo.jackaroo) uses, why, who receives it and the choices you have.

The short version
  • Games against the computer and pass-and-play run on your device. Your settings, statistics and any game in progress are stored in the app’s private storage. Your device’s backup or transfer features may also copy this data, depending on your settings.
  • Optional online rooms use our game server. It uses your nickname, connection and game state to run matches. Active game state stays in memory; limited technical room-event and error logs are retained as described in section 3.
  • No accounts, no separate game analytics or crash-reporting service. Google’s advertising and consent software still processes data as described below.
  • The game shows ads through Google AdMob: full-screen ads between games and optional rewarded ads. Google’s ad software collects some device data to show ads, after the consent choices that apply to you.
  • There is nothing to buy, and no coins, chips or bets.
  • Uninstall the game or clear its app data to remove the local copy. Manage any operating-system backups separately in your device or backup-provider settings.

1. Who we are

Jackaroo (the “game”) is published by Dhrivo Technologies LLP (“Dhrivo”, “we”, “us”), which is the controller (under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the “Data Fiduciary”) for the limited processing described here. Contact: support@dhrivotechnologies.com.

2. On your device

Games against the computer and pass-and-play work without an internet connection and involve no server. The game keeps in the app’s private storage on your device:

  • your settings and rule choices;
  • your statistics (games played and won);
  • a game in progress, so you can continue later;
  • for online play: your nickname, the server address and your current session code.

Except as described in section 3 for online play, the game does not send this information to Dhrivo. Your operating system may include local app data in backups or device transfers according to your settings.

The 3D board uses Thermion and Filament to render bundled artwork locally on your device. This graphics feature does not send game data to a rendering service.

3. Online play (our game server)

Online rooms are optional. When you open the online lobby, the game connects to our game server over an encrypted connection (TLS). The server is operated by us and hosted on Google Cloud (Google LLC) in the United States. To run online games it uses:

DataWhyHow long
The nickname you choose (up to 20 characters)Shown to the other players in your roomOnly in server memory while your online connection is open. After disconnection, a seat in a started game is retained for up to 60 seconds for reconnection; otherwise the session is removed immediately. Leaving a room clears your seat, but your nickname and session can remain while you stay connected in the lobby. Routine logs do not contain nicknames or session codes.
A random session code created by the serverLets you rejoin your seat after a dropped connection; also saved on your deviceAs for the nickname.
Your room code, seat, moves and emoji reactionsPlaying the game and showing it to everyone in the roomRoom and game state remain in memory while the room exists; the room closes when no human players or reconnecting seats remain. A game can continue with computer players after you leave. Limited room and seat events are also recorded in technical logs; see below. Hands, individual moves and reactions are not included in those routine event logs.
Your IP addressDelivering the connection, and limiting abuse (too many connections or messages)Held in memory while you are connected. If a connection fails, the address may appear in a technical error log, retained under the rotation schedule below.

The server writes technical room-event logs to help diagnose problems. These include room codes, seat connection changes, player counts, game starts, winning teams and total move counts. Routine room-event logs do not contain nicknames, reconnect tokens, card hands or individual moves. Error logs may contain connection details. System logs rotate weekly with four archived copies retained, so a copy may remain for approximately five weeks under the normal rotation schedule. Separate system-journal copies are configured for 14-day retention. There is no chat, no friends list and no profile. Do not use your real full name or other personal details as a nickname.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows two kinds of ads: full-screen (interstitial) ads between games, never during a game, and rewarded ads you may choose to watch for an optional extra. There are no banner ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK with Google’s User Messaging Platform), provided by Google LLC or, for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited. To request, show, measure and protect ads, Google’s software in the app collects and sends to Google:

DataExamplesUsed by Google for
Device identifiersAndroid advertising ID, app set ID; on iPhone and iPad, the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow trackingAdvertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention
Device and app informationDevice model, operating system version, language, app versionShowing ads that fit the device, advertising, analytics
Approximate locationDerived from your IP address (not GPS)Advertising, fraud prevention, legal compliance
Diagnostics and ad interactionsAd load performance, crash information about the ad software, ad views and tapsAd delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention

This data goes to Google, not to us; we cannot see it or link it to you. Google processes it under its own policies: how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. The game asks AdMob for ads suitable for teens (maximum ad content rating “T”).

Consent (User Messaging Platform). When the game starts, it runs Google’s User Messaging Platform. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and under some US state privacy laws), you are shown a consent message and can accept, refuse or manage choices for personalised ads. Ads load only after the consent flow allows them, and refusing never blocks the game. Where a consent message applies to you, Settings → Ad privacy choices reopens the consent form at any time.

Advertising ID. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact menu depends on your device). On iPhone and iPad, the advertising identifier is only available if you allow tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Not watching ads. Rewarded ads are optional. Every game can be played without them.

5. No purchases, no gambling

The game sells nothing. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, coins, chips or bets, and nothing in the game has any money value.

6. No accounts

The game has no sign-up, login or user profile. Online play uses only a nickname and a temporary session code (section 3). We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.

7. When you contact us

If you email support@dhrivotechnologies.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to answer you and keep a record of the request. Our email is hosted by Hostinger.

8. Children

The game is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for players aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 is using the game, including online rooms, or that Google’s ad software has collected data from them, email support@dhrivotechnologies.com and we will help you with the steps to take.

9. Keeping and deleting your data

  • Game data stays on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage (Android Settings → Apps → Jackaroo → Storage → Clear data), removes the local app data. Operating-system backups or device-transfer copies may remain and may restore data when you reinstall or change devices. Manage these through your device or backup provider. Dhrivo does not operate a cloud-save service and cannot restore your local progress.
  • Online sessions and game state follow the connection and room lifetimes in section 3. Leaving clears your seat; your lobby session lasts until disconnect, and a room can continue for its remaining players. Limited technical room-event and error logs remain until their scheduled rotation. Contact us with privacy requests about these logs; do not send your reconnect token.
  • Ad data is retained by Google under Google’s retention policies. You can manage it with the ad choices in section 4 and in your Google account.
  • Support emails are kept for up to 2 years after your request is closed, unless the law requires longer; ask and we will delete them.

See also how to delete your data.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under India’s DPDP Act 2023, the EU/UK GDPR, or the data protection laws of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman), you may have rights to access, correct, erase or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, to nominate someone to exercise your rights, and to complain to a data protection authority. You can manage local saves and advertising choices directly: by using Ad privacy choices, by resetting your advertising ID, or by uninstalling the game. For anything else, write to support@dhrivotechnologies.com with “Privacy” in the subject; we will reply within 30 days.

11. Security and transfers

Game data is stored in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. The game connects to our server only over an encrypted connection (TLS); the server checks every move and limits abuse. Active game state is held in memory, with limited technical logs retained as described in section 3. The server runs in the United States. The Google Mobile Ads SDK sends its data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Google may process that data on servers outside your country, under its own safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how the game handles data (for example by adding a new SDK), we will update this page and the effective date above before the new version of the game is released, and mention the change in the store’s release notes. If a change requires your consent, the game will ask for it before it applies.
