Terms of Use.

These terms apply to the apps and games published by Dhrivo Technologies LLP, including Startup Hustle: Office Tycoon and Log Kya Kahenge. Each app’s addendum adds a few app-specific points.

The short version

We give you a personal licence to play; the games and their content remain ours.
Virtual items and unlocks have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Refunds follow the store’s refund policy.
Our games are fiction and satire. Nothing in them is financial, career, legal or medical advice.

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing or using one of our apps you agree to these terms and to the app’s privacy policy (Startup Hustle, Log Kya Kahenge). If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. The terms of the store you downloaded from (Google Play or the Apple App Store) also apply; if they conflict with these terms on store matters such as billing and refunds, the store’s terms prevail.

2. Licence

Dhrivo grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with the store’s usage rules. The app, its code, artwork, text, characters, music and other content are owned by Dhrivo or its licensors. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the app, or create derivative works from it, except where the law expressly allows this. Sharing images the game creates for you (for example a result card) for personal, non-commercial purposes is permitted.

3. Virtual items and in-app purchases

Apps may offer optional in-app purchases, such as removing ads, unlocks, content packs or in-game currency and items (“virtual items”).
Virtual items are licensed to you, not sold. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value, and cannot be transferred, traded or sold, inside or outside the app.
Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Prices, taxes and payment terms are set by the store at checkout.
Refunds are handled by the store where you paid, under its policy: Google Play’s refund policy or Apple’s. We cannot issue store refunds ourselves, but email us if you need help with a purchase.
Where an app supports it, you can restore one-time purchases on a new install using the same store account. Progress and items kept only on your device can be lost if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
We may change, rebalance or retire virtual items and game features. If we stop offering a paid one-time unlock, we will try to keep it working for people who bought it, but games can change over time.

4. Advertising

Free versions of our apps may show ads provided by Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that give an in-game benefit. Ads are subject to the consent and privacy choices described in each app’s privacy policy. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not endorse advertised products, and your dealings with advertisers are between you and them.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: cheat, exploit bugs or use modified clients, bots or tools to gain an advantage or obtain paid items without paying; interfere with ads, purchases or the app’s security; use the app unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights; or remove notices of ownership. If you find a bug or vulnerability, please report it to support@dhrivotechnologies.com.

6. Fiction, satire and no advice

Our games are works of fiction and satire. Characters, families, companies, institutions, events and outcomes are invented; any resemblance to real people or organisations is coincidental. In-game money, investments, careers, exams, health, relationships and decisions are simulated and simplified. Nothing in our games is financial, investment, career, legal, medical or mental-health advice. Do not rely on a game to make real-life decisions; consult a qualified professional instead. If a game mentions a support resource (for example a helpline), it is provided for convenience only.

7. Availability and changes to the apps

We may update, change, suspend or stop offering an app or any feature at any time, for example to fix bugs, comply with the law or store policies, or improve the game. Some updates may be required to keep playing. We do not guarantee that an app will be available on every device, in every country or at all times.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that saved progress will never be lost.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Dhrivo, its partners and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill or progress, arising from your use of or inability to use the apps. Our total liability for any claim relating to the apps is limited to the amount you paid for the app and in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under applicable law, including India’s Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using an app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially break these terms. Sections 2 (ownership), 3 (no cash value), 6, 8, 9 and 11 continue to apply after the licence ends.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before starting a formal dispute, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections where you live, the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our apps, the law or store policies change. We will post the new version here and change the effective date above; for significant changes we will also tell you in the app or on this page before they apply. Continuing to use an app after the changes take effect means you accept them.
