Startup Hustle
privacy policy.

This policy explains what information the mobile game Startup Hustle: Office Tycoon (iPhone, iPad and Android) uses, why, who receives it and the choices you have.

The short version

Who we are

Dhrivo Technologies LLP (“Dhrivo”, “we”, “us”) publishes the game and is responsible for the processing this policy describes. Registered office: 266A, Ground Floor, Block QU, DDA Flats, Maurya Enclave, New Delhi 110034, India. Contact: support@dhrivotechnologies.com.

1. Information kept on your device

Your office progress, settings (such as sound) and a record that you own Remove Ads are stored on your device by the app. This information is not sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it, and we cannot recover it. If your device backup is turned on (for example iCloud Backup or Android backup to your Google account), the operating system may include this data in your own backup, under the terms of Apple or Google. We have no access to those backups.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you have not bought Remove Ads, the game may show a full-screen ad at a natural break after a few minutes of active play. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC or, for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited). To request, show, cap and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google’s software in the app collects:

Google may use this information to show ads that are personalised to your interests where you have allowed that, and also for its own purposes as described in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Google acts as an independent controller of this information for some of these purposes.

Consent and privacy choices. Before any ad is requested, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to check whether a privacy message is required where you live (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and certain US states). Where required, you can accept or refuse personalised advertising. If you refuse, you may see non-personalised or limited ads, or no ads. You can change your choice at any time in Shop → Ad privacy choices.

iPhone and iPad. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency controls access to your device’s advertising identifier. If the app asks and you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the identifier is not available to the app or to Google. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on the device).

Buying Remove Ads stops ads from being requested.

3. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google as our service provider, to understand how players use the game and to find and fix problems. They collect:

We do not use Firebase data to show you ads or to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not link it to your name or email. Where the law requires consent for analytics (for example in the EEA and UK), analytics runs only if you agree in the app’s privacy message, and you can change this in Shop → Ad privacy choices. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.

4. Purchases

The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. The app receives a signed confirmation of the purchase from the store, checks it on your device and remembers that you own Remove Ads. We do not receive your card or bank details. Through our store developer accounts we can see limited order information (such as an order number, product, price, country and date) needed for sales reporting, tax and refunds. Refunds are handled by the store where you paid.

5. When you contact us

If you email support@dhrivotechnologies.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to answer you, investigate problems and keep a record of the request. Our email is hosted by Hostinger.

If Dhrivo or the game is sold or reorganised, information may pass to the new owner under this policy.

8. International transfers

We are based in India. Google, Apple and Hostinger process information in several countries, including the United States. Where data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred, these providers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

9. How long information is kept

Delete your data

Startup Hustle has no accounts, so there is nothing to sign in to or close. To delete information:

  1. Game data on your phone (office save, settings, Remove Ads record): uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → Startup Hustle → Storage → Clear storage. This deletes it immediately and cannot be undone. A Remove Ads purchase can be restored afterwards from the Shop.
  2. Analytics and crash data (Firebase): email support@dhrivotechnologies.com with the subject “Delete my data”, and include the app version and your device model. We delete the matching data within 30 days and confirm by email. Without a request, analytics data is deleted automatically after 2 months and crash reports after 90 days.
  3. Advertising data (Google AdMob): open Shop → Ad privacy choices to withdraw consent, and reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Google keeps and deletes its data under its own policies.
  4. Support emails: ask in the same email and we will delete our correspondence, except records we must keep by law.

We do not keep any other information about you.

10. Your rights

Because the game has no accounts, most information is linked only to a random device or installation identifier. To help with a request about Firebase data, include the app version and your device type; we may ask for information shown in the app to locate the data. The quickest ways to control your data are: the in-app privacy choices, your device’s tracking and advertising ID settings, and deleting the app.

EEA, UK and Switzerland. We rely on your consent for personalised advertising, for storing and reading information on your device for ads, and for analytics where consent is required; on our legitimate interests to keep the game working and secure, fix crashes and prevent ad fraud; and on contract to provide your purchase. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

United States (including California under the CCPA/CPRA). In the last 12 months the game collected the categories described above: identifiers (device identifiers, IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (app and ad interactions), approximate geolocation, commercial information (purchase events) and, through Google, inferences used for ads. We collect them for the purposes in sections 2–5. Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, correct and delete, and to opt out of “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising. To opt out, use Shop → Ad privacy choices where available, turn off tracking or delete your advertising ID on your device, or email us. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of authorisation.

India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). Dhrivo is the Data Fiduciary. You may ask for a summary of your personal data and how it is processed, request correction, completion, updating or erasure, withdraw consent, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Send requests to support@dhrivotechnologies.com with “Privacy” in the subject. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (and in any case within 30 days where we can) and may need to verify the request.

11. Children

Startup Hustle is a general-audience game about running a business. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services (up to 16 in parts of the EEA, and 18 in India), a parent or guardian must agree before a younger player uses the game. We do not knowingly use personalised advertising for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, email support@dhrivotechnologies.com and we will help delete it.

12. Security

Information sent by the advertising and Firebase software, and by the stores, is encrypted in transit. Purchases are verified with the store’s signed data on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit what is collected and who can access it.

13. Changes

We will update this policy when the game or its providers change, and change the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we will also tell you in the game or on this page before they apply.
